The Xiaomi 14 series could get the same hardware upgrade as the iPhone 15 Pro series, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra. We’re talking about a titanium frame, of course, as all the phones listed here are expected to feature it.

The Xiaomi 14 could get the same hardware upgrade as the iPhone 15 Pro series

This information comes from Digital Chat Station, one of China’s most trusted tipsters. Ice Universe, another well-known tipster, hinted that something similar will happen. He was more specific, though, as he mentioned the Xiaomi 14 Pro.

Truth be said, this upgrade could be limited to the Xiaomi 14 Pro, and eventually the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The Xiaomi 14 may not get it, even though that’s also a possibility based on the latest information.

So, what’s the advantage of titanium? Well, it’s both stronger and lighter than stainless steel. Thanks to that material, both the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will be considerably lighter than their predecessors, considerably. They’ll be stronger at the same time.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is also expected to utilize a titanium frame

We’re expecting the same to happen with the Xiaomi 14 models too. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is also tipped to utilize a titanium frame, but that phone is not expected to arrive until Q1 2024.

More smartphone OEMs are expected to follow this trend, and start including titanium frames in their phones. Needless to say, this is a welcomed trend, and we do hope many flagship devices will offer it next year.

The Xiaomi 13 series was allegedly very successful for Xiaomi, so the company has high hopes for the Xiaomi 14 series too. The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro will reportedly launch first, while the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is tipped to arrive at a later date. That’s what happened last year too.

Do note that the two phones are tipped to launch sooner than expected, in early November. The Xiaomi 13 series dropped on December 11 last year. The launch event will take place in China first, while the global one will follow next year, most likely.
