Xiaomi has officially announced the arrival of its new high-end smartphones. The Xiaomi 13T series will launch on September 26. This is a global launch event, by the way, and it will take place in Berlin, Germany.
The Xiaomi 13T series will launch later this month in Berlin
Xiaomi and its CEO, Lei Jun, have confirmed via social media channels that Leica is also a part of the equation. We already knew that would be the case, basically, but it’s nice to see an official confirmation.
The tagline Xiaomi is using for this launch is ‘Masterpiece in sight’. The press event will kick off at 2 PM CET / 1 PM BST / 8 AM EST / 5 AM PST, in case you’re wondering.
The Xiaomi 13T series is hardly a secret at this point. The Xiaomi 13T Pro design surfaced in real-life images recently, while the Xiaomi 13T appeared in an 18-minute video on YouTube.
The ‘Pro’ model will be the more powerful of the two, of course. The phone will ship with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor, and up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It will also include a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
The ‘Pro’ model will support 120W charging
That phone will pack in a 5,000mAh battery with 120W wired charging support. A 50-megapixel main camera is also tipped, and the same goes for a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 50-megapixel telephoto unit.
On the flip side, the Xiaomi 13T, is said to include the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor, and up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The same display as on the Xiaomi 13T Pro will be used, while the phone will have the same battery capacity too. It will offer 67W wired charging, though.
Both of these phones will have rather thin bezels, and ship with Android 13 out of the box. MIUI 14 will be included on top of Google’s OS, of course.
