The Sony Xperia 5 V is now available to purchase. The phone was announced at the beginning of this month, and you can already snatch one from Amazon in Germany. This is a vast improvement for Sony, as it usually takes the company quite a bit of time to release announced phones.

The phone is now available for €999, in case you’re interested. We’ve included a purchase link below the article as well. The Sony Xperia 5 V, as many of you know, is Sony’s compact flagship. It’s a more compact alternative to the Sony Xperia 1 V.
One thing to note is that the shipping dates keep on changing on the Amazon listing. So if you want to grab one immediately, and get it shipped your way, Sony’s own online store has it in stock, in Germany.
The Xperia 5 V seems to be popping up in other countries in the EU, though. We’ve seen several other Amazon listings. So if you prefer some other store, it doesn’t hurt to check it out, as it seems to be available all over the place.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 fuels this phone, while a 6.1-inch 120Hz display is also included
Sony’s Xperia 5 V handset is fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the same as its sibling. That’s the most powerful SoC Qualcomm has to offer at the moment. In addition to that, it also packs in 8GB of RA, and 256GB of storage.
A 6.1-inch fullHD+ (2520 x 1080) OLED display is included here. That panel is flat, and it supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects it.
Sony also included a 5,000mAh battery here, with support for 30W wired charging. 15W wireless charging is also on offer, as is reverse wireless charging. Android 13 comes pre-installed on the phone.
A 48-megapixel main camera is backed by a 12-megapixel ultrawide unit. Zeiss optics are a part of the offering, and that main camera is the same as the one on the company’s Xperia 1 V flagship.
A side-facing fingerprint scanner is also here, and the phone is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
