The Sony Xperia 1 V is now available to purchase in the US
The Xperia 1 V is the most powerful smartphone Sony announced thus far. It was announced back in May, and it took Sony a bit of time to make it available in the US. Not nearly as much as it did in the though.
In any case, the phone is priced at $1,400 in the US, and it comes in a single variant. If you decide to buy it, you’ll get the variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. You can grab the phone from either Sony or Amazon. A purchase link(s) is available below the article.
The Xperia 1 V is a truly powerful handset. Not only is it fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the most powerful processor Qualcomm released, but it also comes with a 4K display. Sony included a 6.5-inch 120Hz OLED display with a 3840 x 1440 resolution.
Android 13 comes pre-installed on the device, while a 5,000mAh battery can also be found on the inside. The phone supports 30W wired charging, while both wireless and reverse wireless charging methods are also supported, but not as fast.
This phone has a very interesting camera setup
A 48-megapixel main camera uses a custom Sony sensor, and it’s actually quite interesting. It supports OIS and Dual Pixel PDAF. A 12-megapixel ultrawide unit is also included here, as is a 12-megapixel telephoto camera (3.5x-5.2x continuous optical zoom, OIS). ZEISS optics are also a part of the package.
The phone is equipped with stereo speakers too, not to mention a side-facing fingerprint scanner. Sony’s latest flagship is IP65/IP68 certified for water and dust resistance too.
