Sony is preparing to launch its next pair of true wireless earbuds soon, the WF-C700N, which are set to be one of the brand’s affordable pairs of TWS earbuds.
Typically, Sony electronics are on the pricier end. They’re by no means as high-priced as what you’ll find from Master & Dynamic. But they’re not exactly budget-minded. You can find a few cheaper options from Sony, sure. But for the most part, Sony is a premium electronics brand and its prices reflect that on the majority of its products. But that isn’t the case with its new WF-C700N true wireless earbuds, which as Android Police points out, now have a listing up at Best Buy.
You can’t actually buy the earbuds from Best Buy yet. But they do now have a price point, and Best Buy is even listing when they’re going to launch.
The Sony WF-C700N earbuds will launch this month
According to Best Buy, Sony will be releasing these in just a few short weeks. Best Buy’s listing shows they officially arrive on April 21, and the price is set at $119.99. Which is, surprisingly affordable given Sony’s other true wireless earbud options.
These will come in four colors, although Best Buy only seems to be listing two. The black and sage colorways. Amazon has the earbuds as well but only in white. Interestingly enough, though, Amazon is letting you pre-order the earbuds today, and they’re $118 so they’re slightly cheaper. Amazon also says they’ll be released on April 15 instead of April 21. So buying from Amazon may get these to you faster.
When it comes to features, these offer some decent ones, but nothing too crazy. They’re IPX4 splash and sweat proof, and will get you about 7.5 hours of battery life on a single charge. And they’ll boost up to 15 hours with the charging case. You can even get an extra hour of listening time with a quick 10 min charge if you’re pressed for time.
