Hardly a month has passed since Samsung launched the Galaxy Buds FE and it already has a new pair in the works. The company is reportedly readying a flagship pair of TWS earbuds, allegedly called the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. It plans to launch them next year, possibly alongside the new foldables.
Samsung is working on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro
Samsung debuted the Galaxy Buds FE early last month. They are the company’s first Fan Editon (FE) TWS earbuds. Unsurprisingly, they are the most affordable too—costing just $99. Samsung’s FE-series products are known for bringing flagship-grade features to a lower price point and the first-ever FE buds lived up to the expectations. In our Galaxy Buds FE review, we found them too good for their price.
That said, they aren’t the outright best TWS earbuds Samsung has ever made. Its Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, which debuted in August last year, is a flagship pair that does just about everything better. Of course, they cost a lot more but that’s a premium you are paying for the best of Samsung. More than a year later, the pair continues to be the Korean firm’s latest flagship earbuds.
While that may not change anytime soon, a new pair of high-end TWS earbuds are in Samsung’s pipeline, sources have told SamMobile. There’s no word on when the company may launch the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. However, a calculated guess points to its debut alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in the second half of 2024. The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro arrived alongside the fourth-gen Samsung foldables.
Apart from the confirmation of its existence, no other information about the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is available at the moment. It is unclear what upgrades it will bring to the table. The current Pro earbuds already offer excellent sound quality, ANC (active noise cancellation), and tons of other premium features such as spatial audio, aka 360 Audio. Samsung may improve the battery life and further tune the audio and ANC.
Samsung will begin 2024 with the Galaxy S24 launch
We may have to wait several months more for a new pair of flagship TWS earbuds from Samsung but the next-gen flagship Galaxy smartphones are coming soon. The Galaxy S24 series is expected to debut in January next year. On January 17, to be precise. While we would have loved to see the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro arrive alongside the new flagships, that doesn’t seem to be happening.
