Ring has a couple of new products at CES 2023. That includes the “Car Cam” which is basically a dash cam with dual cameras.
The Ring Car Cam uses the Ring app, and has a unique dual-facing camera that can record when your car is in motion and when it’s turned off. This is going to give you a sense of presence whether your car is parked at home, or at the grocery store.
While your car is parked, it will use its smart sensors to guard your car. Able to detect events inside and around your vehicle. If an event does happen, the Cam will start recording and send a real-time alert to your Ring App. A lot like the Ring Video Doorbell would do.
Ring has also included a “Traffic Stop” feature. So if you are pulled over, just say “Alexa, record” and your camera will record several minutes of what is happened, despite your car being parked.
Ring says that the Car Cam will be available for pre-order today, and shipping very soon.
The Peephole Cam gets rejuvenated
You might remember, a few years ago, Ring announced a Peephole Cam. This was basically designed for those that live in apartments and townhomes, who can’t actually use a regular doorbell. But that Peephole Cam was quietly discontinued, went out of stock and never came back. Now, Ring is back with a new version.
It has all of the features you know and love from Ring’s cameras, but now it can be installed in your peephole. It has 1080p video available, night vision, two-way talk, and knock and motion detection is also available. It’s a pretty seamless installation, just pop out the peephole and slide it in. It’s great for renters, since there are no permanent modifications here.
Ring says that this is available to pre-order today and will cost $129. And it is available today.
