The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is the best battery life smartphone of 2022, according to Android Headlines readers.
Not many phones can say that they offer excellent battery life, especially high-end ones. Well, three out of four of the phones we placed in our best battery life smartphone of 2022 poll were high-end ones, and yet, a mid-ranger won, if you ask your readers. The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G won, trumping the OnePlus 10T, ASUS ROG Phone 6, and ASUS ZenFone 9. The Galaxy A53 5G was announced back in March, and it managed to become quite a popular smartphone. Battery life is one of its strong suits.
The Galaxy A53 5G offers really great battery life
Our Galaxy A53 5G review went out in early May, and we managed to get great battery life results out of it. As a reminder, the Galaxy A53 5G includes a 5,000mAh battery on the inside. Its processor is not particularly power-hungry, as it includes the Exynos 1280. So, what kind of results are we talking about here? Well, we were able to cross the 8-hour screen-on-time mark with this phone, which is outstanding. Everything over 7 hours of screen-on-time is great, but when a phone goes over the 8-hour mark… well, that’s in a special category.
To make things even better, we did play some games during those days, and pushed the phone past what a normal user would. Gaming, using the camera, multimedia consumption, browsing, and so forth. It did great for us. Even the charging is not bad here, considering this is a mid-ranger we’re talking about. We were able to fully replenish its 5,000mAh battery in less than an hour and a half by using a 25W charger. It is worth noting that a charger is not included in the box, though.
Its display is also nothing to scoff at, and the same goes for its audio performance
The Galaxy A53 5G does have some other strong suits, though, it’s not all about the battery life. Its display is really good as well, and it offers a 120Hz refresh rate. What managed to surprise us are the phone’s speakers. You don’t expect the sound to be that pleasant in this price range. The speakers are actually full-sounding, and quite loud at the same time. The distortion was not present during our usage. The phone itself also feels really good in the hand. It doesn’t feel cheap, and it’s not huge, though it is a large device.
All in all, the Galaxy A53 5G does have quite a few strong suits, but the battery life shines the most. That is something our readers were able to recognize, which is why this phone got the best battery life smartphone of 2022 award.
