The OnePlus Open was announced today, globally. We have a separate article for its launch, and are here to talk about the OnePlus Open specifications. Before we start, do note that this device is basically identical to the OPPO Find N3, which was also announced today. It has the same design, with a different logo, and the same specs.

The OnePlus Open has top-of-the-line specifications

The OnePlus Open is immensely powerful. It has top-of-the-line specs in basically every way. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 fuels this handset, the very best chip from Qualcomm. On top of that, OnePlus included 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 512GB of UFS 4.0 flash storage. So, the latest RAM and storage available.

It has two of the brightest displays in any smartphone

When it comes to displays, both of them are outstanding, and on the same level. Both of these are the brightest displays in the industry, they can reach the level of 2,800 nits when it comes to brightness. Both displays are also LTPO AMOLED panels which can up to 120Hz. The main one goes from 1 to 120Hz, while the cover panel goes from 10Hz to 120Hz. They support HDR10+ content too, and have Dolby Vision support. Both displays also support a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

The main display on the phone measures 7.82 inches, and has a resolution of 2440 x 2268. Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) is included on top of it. The cover display measures 6.31 inches, and it has a resolution of 2484 x 1116 pixels. This panel has an aspect ratio of 20:9. ‘Ceramic Guard’ protects this display.

67W fast charging is supported, while wireless charging is not

Android 13 comes pre-installed on the device, along with OxygenOS 13.2. A 4,805mAh battery sits inside the phone, and supports 67W SuperVOOC charging. A charger is included in the box, and can recharge this phone fully in 42 minutes. Wireless charging is not supported.

The OnePlus Open also has a truly powerful camera system. A 48-megapixel main camera (Sony’s LYT-T808 CMOS sensor, f/1.7 aperture, 1.12um pixel size, OIS, EIS; 85-degree FoV) leads the pack. A 48-megapixel ultrawide camera (Sony’s IMX 581 sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 6P lens, 0.8um pixel size, 114-degree FoV, EIS, macro camera) is also included, as is a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto unit (OV64B sensor, 3x optical zoom, 6x “in-sensor zoom”, 0.7um pixel size, 4P lens, OIS, EIS, f/2.6 aperture, 120x digital zoom). Hasselblad is also a part of the picture.

On the main display, you’ll find a 32-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.4 aperture, EIS, 5P lens), while on the cover display sits a 20-megapixel camera (f/2.2 aperture, EIS, 0.7um pixel size).

You’ll find three speakers on this smartphone

The phone has a side-facing fingerprint scanner, while facial scanning is also supported via front-facing cameras. You’re getting Bluetooth 5.3 support here as well, and the same goes for Wi-Fi 6. The OnePlus Open comes with two SIM card slots. “Reality” Speakers are also included, three of them. Dolby Atmos support is also a part of the package.

The OnePlus Open is 153.4mm tall. When unfolded, it is 143.1mm wide, when folded, it’s 73.3mm wide. The Voyager Black model is 5.9mm thick when unfolded, and 11.9mm thick when folded. The Emerald Dusk model is 5.8mm thick when unfolded, and 11.7mm thick when folded. The black model weighs 239 grams, while the Emerald Dusk variant weighs 245 grams. Do note that only the Voyager Black variant will be available in Europe. That’s the one with a vegan leather backplate, the other variant has glass on the back.
