One important note to make is that the rollout is starting in India. Other markets will follow very soon, so you can expect the update to hit your phone shortly. The phone will let you know once the update is available, but you can also manually check, of course.

Do note that you’ll need at least 30% battery charge in order to update to OxygenOS 14, and also a minimum of 5GB of free storage space on your phone.

This update is bringing a number of underlying Android 14 changes, but also quite a few changes that OnePlus made to OxygenOS 14. So, let’s go over those, as the changelog has been made available.

Quite a few changes are listed in the changelog

This update adds ‘Fluid Cloud’. That is a way of interaction with morphing forms that allows the user to view up-to-date info at a glance. Cross-device support has also been added for Fluid Cloud.

File Dock has been added here, which allows you to drag and drop to transfer content between apps and devices. The Content Extraction feature is also included. That feature basically recognizes and extracts text and images from the screen with a single tap.

OxygenOS 14 also brings Smart Cutout. That feature can basically separate multiple subjects in a photo from the background, and then you can edit it or share it.

More widget recommendations have been added to ‘Shelf’, while photo and video-related permission management has been improved too. System stability improvements are included in this update, and that includes the speed of launching apps, and overall smoothness.

The Aquamorphic Design has been upgraded too

The company’s Aquamorphic Design has been upgraded with a “natural, gentle, and clearer color style”. Aquamorphic-themed ringtones have been added too, while the system notification sounds have been revamped too. Do note that this update is very similar to ColorOS 14 update.
