Lenovo announces the Tab Extreme at CES

Lenovo is one of the few companies that actually take tablets seriously. It doesn’t just make bloated mid-range phones that lack the ability to make calls. Rather, it’s making true flagship-grade tablets for professionals who want to get work done.

And, the Lenovo Tab Extreme is about as professional as it gets starting with the size. This tablet is well within the laptop screen size at a whopping 14.5 inches. That’s half an inch bigger than the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra’s screen. That screen will be pretty pixel-dense with a resolution of 3000 x 1876. It’s approaching 4K resolution. If that’s not enough, the display is HDR10+ compatible and runs at 120Hz.

This big tablet will also be packing some big power to boot. The Lenovo Tab Extreme will use the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9000. This is MediaTek’s answer to the Snapdragon 8 SoCs. This will be accompanied by 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.

Now, let’s talk about the cameras. There are two cameras on the back. The main camera is a 13MP shooter with an aperture of f/2.4, and that’s accompanied by a 5MP shooter with an f/2.2 aperture.  Up front, there’s a 13MP camera with an ultrawide field-of-view.

Keeping the lights on, we have a large 12,3000mAh battery. According to the company, this battery should be able to get you 12 hours of video playback on a single charge. As for the charger, you’ll get a 68W charging brick.
