A third Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 smartphone is now official, the iQOO 12 Pro. This handset is immensely powerful all around. As many of you know, iQOO is Vivo’s sub-brand, and thus this phone comes with Funtouch OS on top of Android. To be more accurate, it includes Funtouch OS 14 on top of Android 14.
The iQOO 12 Pro has a curved display on the front, with a centered display camera hole. It has very thin bezels, and flat sides too. A large camera module is placed on the back, and centered on the top portion of the phone’s backplate. Three cameras are placed in it, more on that later.
The iQOO 12 Pro has a great LTPO AMOLED display that gets truly bright
This smartphone has a 6.78-inch QHD+ (3200 x 1440) LTPO AMOLED display. As already mentioned, it’s flat. This is a 144Hz panel, and it gets up to 3,000 nits of brightness at its peak. It also supports 1,440Hz PWM dimming.
Its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor is backed with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. You can choose between 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of UFS 4.0 flash storage here.
120W wired, and 50W wireless charging is supported
A 5,100mAh battery is included in the package, while 120W fast wired charging is supported. The phone also supports 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Yes, a charger is included in the box.
A 50-megapixel main camera (OmniVision OV50H sensor, f/1.68 aperture, OIS) is backed by a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (150-degree FoV, Samsung JN1 sensor, f/2.0 aperture), and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera (3x optical zoom, OmniVision OV64B sensor, OIS, f/2.57 aperture, 100x digital zoom, V3 imaging chip). A 16-megapixel camera sits on the front.

The phone includes an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and an IR blaster too. Stereo speakers are included, and the device is IP68 certified. It also has two nano SIM card slots, by the way. Bluetooth 5.4 is supported on the device, and the same goes for 5G connectivity.
The iQOO 12 Pro comes in Legend Edition in White with a BMW logo, Track Edition in black, and Red edition. The Red edition has a leather-like finish on the back, while glass is used in other models.
The iQOO 12 Pro pricing starts at CNY4,999 ($686). This is just a price tag for China, but a global variant is coming.
