Huawei had plenty to say during its recent event in Barcelona. The company announced its GT 4 smartwatch series, new flagship truly wireless earbuds, new smart glasses, and more. Well, the Huawei Watch Ultimate Gold Edition also made the cut.
The Huawei Watch Ultimate Gold Edition is Huawei’s very first gold smartwatch
The Huawei Watch Ultimate Gold Edition is a very pricey smartwatch from the company, and the very first gold smartwatch Huawei announced. The price tag is understandable considering the gold aspect, of course.
This smartwatch comes with gold bezels, and a gold crown with “3D trapezoidal patterns carved through the diamond-cut engraving process”. On top of that, a gold PVD titanium strap with an adjustable butterfly buckle is also a part of the package.
Now, in terms of the overall looks (minus the gold accents), this is the Huawei Watch Ultimate. The same goes for its software as well. This is just a special edition variant of the Huawei Watch Ultimate, basically.
So, you’re getting two buttons on the right-hand side, one of which is a rotating crown at the same time. This is a rather bulky smartwatch, but some people prefer it to be that way, so… there you go.
It includes sapphire glass protection, a ceramic backplate, and gold accents
It features a 1.5-inch AMOLED display with sapphire glass protection. A 530mAh battery is also included here, and so is a ceramic backplate. We’ve also mentioned the watch band which is made out of titanium.
The Huawei Watch Ultimate goes for €749 in Europe, at least, well the ‘Gold’ variant of the watch is a lot more expensive than that. Huawei did announce its price tag, and you’ll have to shell out €2,999 in order to get it.
Huawei, of course, is not expecting to sell a ton of these. This is a special edition smartwatch aimed at specific types of customers. Those of you who are interested, however, do note that you’ll be able to pre-order it from October 2, and the watch will go on sale on October 18.
