Black Friday is a great time to pick up a new laptop. We generally see some of the biggest discounts of the year for laptops, around Black Friday. While Black Friday does technically start on November 24, many retailers have already started their Black Friday sales. And we’re already seeing some pretty big discounts on new laptops – including some that are still pre-order only.
So, in this post, we are rounding up the very best Black Friday Deals available for Laptops, and will be continuing to update this throughout the season.

Apple MacBook Pro M3

The new MacBook Pro 14-inch with M3 was just announced earlier this week by Apple, and now it’s on sale over at Best Buy. The retailer is shaving $150 off of the regular price. Not a huge discount, but keep in mind that this did just launch earlier this month.
When you first look at the new MacBook Pro 14-inch, it looks the same as last year, aside from the new Space Black color – which is really just a darker gray. But this one has the entry-level M3 chipset, meaning that the MacBook Pro 13-inch is dead and gone now. With this new laptop, you get the new Liquid Retina XDR display, which is simply stunning. This is a Mini LED display that gets super bright, and is great for watching HDR content on.
The M3 does come with an 8-core CPU and a 10-core GPU. It also has 8GB of unified memory. Now Apple uses that term instead of RAM, because everything is embedded in the chip. So that 8GB of memory is being used for the CPU as well as the GPU. So this might not be enough for everyone, and if you want more, you can step up the M3 Pro model for $1,999 but it is also $100 off for Best Buy Plus and Total Members.
Dell XPS 13 Laptop

The Dell XPS 13 has long been a fan-favorite on the PC side of things. It’s a great looking laptop, with great specs and great battery life. This is the 13-inch model, which comes with the 12th Generation Intel Core i5 processor, with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. It also has integrated graphics with the Intel Iris Xe. Obviously, some dedicated graphics would be great, but let’s face it, at $599, you’re not getting that, unfortunately.
Dell does offer the XPS 13 in the new Ice Blue color, which looks impressive, to be honest. And definitely will stand out compared to other laptop colors on the market right now. It’s a super portable laptop from Dell, but the only downside here is going to be the two USB-C ports. And that’s because that’s all the ports. There’s not even a headphone jack – Apple hasn’t even ditched that on their laptops yet.
It’s worth mentioning that this model is on clearance, so it’ll likely be gone for good when the stock runs out. So if you are looking to pick this one up, now is a great time to do so.
ASUS Chromebook Plus

Google recently debuted “Chromebook Plus” which is basically a set of standards for new Chromebooks to use this name. And that also means that Chromebooks won’t have budget specs anymore. That starts with the ASUS Chromebook Plus, which is powered by an AMD Ryzen 3 7320C processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD. That’s pretty powerful for a Chromebook, and that is great to see at under $400.
Keep in mind that this is running on Chrome OS, which means you are basically running the Chrome Browser and some Android apps. If you aren’t a heavy computer user, then this makes loads of sense to get. But if you have actual programs you use on a daily basis, then a Chromebook isn’t a good idea for you. The Chromebook Plus does have loads of Android apps that work quite well here, including Netflix, Twitter and much more.

When is Black Friday 2023?
Black Friday is always the Friday after Thanksgiving, which this year, lands on November 24, 2023. In previous years, before the pandemic, stores would open up on Thursday evening to start Black Friday shopping. That’s becoming less of a thing, with more and more stores opting to stay closed on Thanksgiving, letting their employees spend the holiday with their families.
It’s not quite as big of an in-store event as it used to be, prior to the pandemic. Especially with online shopping being so easy these days. However, Black Friday sales are starting earlier and earlier than ever. They used to truly start the Tuesday or Wednesday before Black Friday. Now we see some retailers starting their Black Friday sales back in October. A full month ahead of the event.
Black Friday is the true start to the holiday shopping season, with Cyber Monday happening the following Monday and then Small Business Tuesday the next day. The following Monday we have “Green Monday” as well, which is another smaller shopping holiday.
What is the Best Laptop?
We have spent countless hours using and reviewing laptops over the year, so we feel that we are able to give you a good idea of what the best laptop really is. And we have it narrowed down to each operating system.
Best macOS Laptop
For the best macOS laptop, we feel that the MacBook Air 15-inch with M2 is the best option. While the MacBook Pro 14- and 16-inch models are really good, they aren’t for everyone. The MacBook Air 15-inch gives you a big screen, in a light package with a pretty powerful chipset in the M2. And it is only $1,299, which is quite impressive for everything that you’re getting there.
Best Windows Laptop
For Windows, the best laptop we believe is the Dell XPS 15. This is a great laptop, albeit somewhat pricey. It has a stunning 15.6-inch FHD+ display, with the Intel Arc A370M processor, 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage included. Making it perfect for work and play. It won’t be the best gaming laptop on the market, but it does work well for that. And it also provides some pretty good battery life.
Best Chromebook
Interestingly, the best Chromebook in our opinion, is the most expensive laptop of the three picks here. It’s the HP Dragonfly Pro, and it’s $1,399 normally. This Chromebook is really impressive for what it offers. That includes a 14-inch QHD+ touch display, with the Intel Core i5-1235U processor and 16GB of RAM. It also offers up a 512GB SSD for storage. That probably sounds a bit extreme for a Chromebook, but now that you can game on a Chromebook with the likes of NVIDIA GeForce Now, it makes a whole lot of sense.

Here at AndroidHeadlines, we believe that the best Black Friday deals are only as good as the products that are on sale. Meaning that just because something is discounted, doesn’t mean it’s a good deal. We generally only post about products that are close to all-time lows, or are all-time lows, or have been discounted significantly for the first time in a long time.
