Not every refrigerator comes with an ice maker. Luckily, you can buy one separately to put on your countertop. One of those ice makers you can buy is the GE Profile Opal 2.0, which goes above and beyond most other ice makers. It’s currently on sale for $499 (was $649) in Amazon’s Black Friday Sale.
This ice maker not only looks great on your countertop, but it also can hold up to three pounds of ice. That’s plenty of ice to fill a cooler for a summer-time picnic or get-together. And plenty of ice to fill a few cups for refreshing drinks. GE also claims that this can make ice in about 10 minutes. Not quite as fast as some of the cheaper models, however, this does provide larger loads of ice. So for a couple minutes longer, you’re getting a bigger load of ice.
GE has also included WiFi and Voice Control with this ice maker, which lets you pair it with the SmartHQ app and you can monitor your device status and schedule fresh ice. So if you need some ice for your water in the morning, you can schedule fresh ice to be ready for when you wake up.
While the GE Profile Opal 2.0 does look fairly large, it’s actually pretty small. It’s about 16.5-inches tall, 13.4-inches wide and about 17.5-inches deep. So it should fit on most countertops without any issues.
