Both the OPPO Find N3 and OnePlus Open were announced last week. These two phones are basically the same, but have different brandings. Their software offerings are also very similar. Having said that, the OPPO Find N3 has an outstanding multitasking feature that will make its way to more of the company’s devices, and yes, that feature is available on the OnePlus Open too.
Best OPPO Find N3 multitasking feature is coming to more devices
What features are we talking about? Well, the OPPO Find N3 and OnePlus Open have the same multitasking features. They’re called differently on the two phones, though. For example, one feature is referred to as ‘Boundless View’ on the Find N3. On the OnePlus Open, it’s called ‘Open Canvas’.
In any case, we’re focusing on the Find N3 here, so we’ll use the proper terms for it. Now, to be more specific, the features that we’re talking about are called Boundless View, Smart Split Screen, and Canvas Shift.
Those three features allow you to make better use of that large, foldable display. We’ve reviewed the OnePlus Open recently, and it’s one of the best multitasking implementations on large-screen devices, if not the best one.
These features are immensely useful
These features allow you to fit up to three devices in a split-screen mode of sorts. One can be in focus, while you can only see slivers of the other two on the screen. You can easily tap on either of the other two apps in order to call them up.
The UI adapts apps automatically, but you do have control over that too. On top of that, you can also use three apps side by side, by having them all on the screen and opened, ready to go. A regular split screen is also available here.
These features will make their way to the company’s older phones too. OPPO China’s Software Product Manager, Zhu Haizhou, confirmed that ‘Boundless View’ and connected feature will make their way to older smartphones and tablets.
He did not mention any devices specifically. However, we presume that the Find N and Find N2 will get all three of these features. He did mention that the features will be slightly changed for the company’s tablets, though, to be better optimized for them.
