Roku’s first line of its own TVs look really impressive

This year at CES, Roku has decided to launch its own TVs, instead of relying solely on partners to make TVs with their software built-in. Roku introduced the Select and Plus lineup of TVs at CES this year. And we are giving them a Best of CES award for them.

Roku has two lines of TVs that it announced this year. Select is essentially the “Value” line of TVs. With Plus being the larger and more high-end models. Now, Roku did not divulge a whole lot of information on these TVs, but we do know that they will range from $119 to $999. So Roku is going to have a TV here for everyone.

Roku building its own TVs means more competition, and that’s good for the consumer

Roku is already the biggest smart TV streaming platform in the world right now. With them starting to build their own TVs, they are going to really compete well with their partners, not something they are really trying to do. But it’ll force their partners to build better TVs and that will in-turn make Roku even more popular.

But on top of the competition aspect, which is always good for consumers. As it does drive down prices, and makes for a better product. This is also going to give Roku more control over their ecosystem. Roku already has a bunch of products in the wild that you can buy. Like the many HDMI streaming sticks and boxes that are pretty cheap. And recently, Roku has been expanding into soundbars. Now here they come with TVs.

This is also going to get Roku’s Voice Remote into more hands. Which means more people will be using their voice assistant. Making it a win all around for Roku with these TVs.

This is why Roku has earned a Best of CES 2023 award from Android Headlines this year.
