The LG Gram Ultraslim notebook is thinner than some smartphones.
We’ve seen plenty of great tech being displayed at this year’s CES in Las Vegas. LG was amongst the presenters, and it had plenty to say. One of the announcements that caught our eye instantly has to do with the company’s laptops. This South Korean company announced a brand new LG Gram Ultraslim laptop, which we’ve added to our ‘Best of CES 2023’ list. In other words, we’ve decided to give out an award to the company.
The LG Gram Ultraslim is actually a truly thin laptop. This thing is only 10.99mm thick, which makes it thinner than many smartphones out there, actually. We’ll talk more about that later in the article. Its slim profile is not the only thing it has going for it, though. The internals LG decided to use here are nothing to scoff at, while the laptop also looks very sleek. There’s plenty to like here, to be quite honest.
The LG Gram Ultraslim is… very thin
As mentioned earlier, the LG Gram Ultraslim measures only 10.99mm in thickness. For comparison sake, the Galaxy S22 Ultra measures 8.9mm, as does the Pixel 7 Pro. That makes them only slightly thinner than this laptop. The Galaxy Z Fold 4, on the other hand, a foldable smartphone, measures 14.2mm at its thinnest point, when folded. So, this laptop, which does fold, is a lot thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which is a foldable smartphone. This is the company’s thinnest notebook yet.
Not only is it thin, but it’s quite light too. The LG Gram Ultraslim weighs only 998 grams. It is about 9% lighter than its predecessor. You will also find some metal in its build, making it look premium at the same time. This notebook even has a nicely-sized display, which we’ll talk about soon, so it’s not exactly too small either. Overall, this could be a great option for people who love slim-profile notebooks, and who move around a lot.
A spacious display & a powerful CPU
The LG Gram Ultraslim notebook features a 15.6-inch OLED display with a 1080p resolution. That is a standard display size for proper-sized laptops. It will definitely give you more room to work with than a 14-inch display would, which is in use on many laptops these days. This is also an anti-glare display. In addition to that, there are 13th-gen Intel Raptor Lake CPUs included in the package as well, which is nice to hear.
You will also find the Gen4 NVMeTM solid-state drive on the inside of the LG Gram Ultraslim. You can choose between 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB options, depending on your needs. On top of everything, the Dolby Atmos audio is included, for the first time in a ‘Gram’ laptop. LG also included an “ultra-compact” power adapter, to go with this slim-profile laptop. All in all, there’s plenty to like here.
