During Amazon’s early Black Friday sale there’s a nice little bundle that includes a ROG Strix Z690-I motherboard and an Intel Core i5 CPU for $342.99. This is about $107 below the normal cost for both these items and it’s a great pickup if you’re trying to save a little money while you upgrade your PC. Or if you’re building your first PC then this is an easy way to save some money for any other components you might need.
The big thing to know before anything else is that the ROG Strix Z690-I motherboard is a Mini-ITX motherboard so it’s designed for smaller PC cases that don’t have the space for a larger board. If you’re building a small form-factor gaming PC, then this is the kind of you board you want to be looking at. What’s nice about it is that it has built-in Wi-Fi 6E support. It comes with this little antenna that you connect to the board and that can be placed anywhere on your desk near the PC case.
I actually have an older version of this board and it’s been working great for years now. What’s great about this model is that it has two M.2 SSD slots. Unlike the board I have which has one slot, the Z690-I can slot in two M.2 NVMe SSD drives for loads of storage. And if you need even more space you can still attach a regular SSD or HDD.
